I Love Stash!!

It was a great weekend here. I never got to stitch and I never got to get online too much at all. Saturday was spent pretty much running around and then Saturday evening we had DH's sisters and dad here for DD's birthday cake. She was so excited because she is having THREE (yes, three) celebrations for her birthday. Her birthday is Friday and we always do something special for her special day. The family was here on Saturday and then on August 20, there will be 8 little girls going to Build a Bear and then back here for a teddy bear picnic. So basically, the child is having celebrations the entire month of August. LOL Good for her!!!

Yesterday DH did not have to work so we headed out to Musikfest in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. It was a nice ride and once we arrived there, we walked around looking at all the booths and listening to music. We were there for a couple of hours and then headed home. On the way, we ate at Olive Garden for dinner. We do not have an Olive Garden around us so this was a treat. This Olive Garden is actually 1/2 hour from where we used to live so we at least knew where we were going. It was a nice Sunday but I came home stuffed and tired. I tried to put a few stitches in but I couldn't. I didn't want a frog to visit today.

So there is my weekend in a nutshell. Now onto the title of my post....I received my order from Sew and So on Saturday. They are so quick. They emailed me on Tuesday saying my order went out from the UK. It was in my mailbox Saturday afternoon. That is quicker than if I ordered something from the US. I am one happy camper today. I ordered 4 kits from them by Heritage Stitchcraft. They are Rose, Carnation, Freesia and Anemone. I plan on stitching these for my new powder room. These kits came with evenweave and the DMC already sorted on a card. I wanted to put a few stitches in yesterday and opened up Rose. After looking at the chart, I can't start yet. :( I have a little prep work to do. Most of the symbols are blended threads. I think only 4 are not blended. So I pulled out my floss baggies and started blending threads. I managed one of the symbols and now today as I do laundry and straightening, I will blend some more and put them in my baggies so I am ready to stitch either today or tomorrow. Now I have to fit this design into my so-called rotation. LOL

The weather is not looking promising today so I figure I will do lots of my chores including paying bills and then stitch in between. Hopefully I will think about a new type of rotation to get these flowers finished quicker.

Have a great day everyone!!
