Great Expectations
As I am writing this, the concrete has been poured. The truck arrived around 8 and while I took the kids to school, it was being poured into the forms. I am so excited that in another day or so we will be able to step out the patio door onto a beautiful new patio. The masons are still here and I am sure they will be here for awhile yet smoothing it out and doing whatever it is they have to do.
I went to bed last night with great expectations for today. I never got around to the mopping of the kitchen floor yesterday. It is really a mess because of the dirt back yard I now have. But as soon as I send this I will do that. I need to finish up a few big loads of laundry and then I need to get some stuff done in prep. for the Communion.
Yesterday ended up being pretty stressful as there were contractors here practically all day. I couldn't get a thing done. Today I decided to ignore it all and just focus. It is so hard to do when I feel like I have TONS that needs doing. This morning I woke up and decided to just to my normal thing.
Thank goodness for crocheting. I never picked a needle up last night to cross stitch but I did finish another square. If I get a chance, I will post a picture. It is square #41 from the first column. Before I get the kids from school I will start on the next one. I don't recall the number but it is in that first column.
My plan for tonight is to relax. I figure I will do my work and stay off the puter til later today. That has been part of my problem lately as I get comfy and stick around online. No can do today. I can play later.
Well I best be getting myself together. It is beautiful here today and I am happy to report that my shorts from last year are not tight. Oh that was a worry. I do have to drop some weight but I think the next week and a half will help me along. When I stress, I don't eat.
Til later....have a great day and enjoy the sunshine.

Hi Mia, I hope it goes well and that you can enjoy your patio soon. We had a new patio last year and it's lovely.
But good luck with all you have to do. Relax with stitching and crocheting.
